Taken from his home and enslaved in the wild mountains of Ireland, young Patrick must fight to survive in a land ruled by pagan priests and dark rituals. As shadows close in like the wolves that stalk his flock, Patrick’s faith awakens - transforming not just his own fate, but the destiny of a nation.
Developed by Barry Cook, director of Disney’s Mulan and winner of the 1998 Annie Award, and adapted by Daniel Hancock, writer of the Realm Award-winning Dominion graphic novels, Patrick of Ireland blends history, myth, and faith in a battle for Ireland’s soul.
Based on the late Howie Bolton’s reimagining of the life of Saint Patrick - alongside extensive research into the historical period and the writings of Saint Patrick himself - this graphic novel adaptation expands the legend into a sweeping dramatic world filled with danger, mystery, spiritual tension, and enduring hope. With cinematic scope, the project approaches Patrick’s journey not simply as historical biography, but as an epic story of calling, transformation, and the battle of unseen powers.
